The Zelda franchise has many fans worldwide and many may just be looking for that next piece of Zelda history for their growing collection. Well,
iNintendo has composed a list of what is sure to be some of the more sought after pieces by any fan of the series. What we have for you is our take on things.
What is more collectible then the classics of the series? Well, nearly 25 years ago the
Legend of Zelda debuted on the Famicon Disk System and later on the Nintendo Entertainment System with much praise and glory that has since become a staple for the industry. Would you like to own this piece of Zelda history? You can find a brand new one (original packaging) for $190.00 on Amazon and a used one (missing packaging) for a low as $9.39.
Do you already have the original? Then why not go after the
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link next with it being even easier to find then the original. You can find it on Amazon for the price of $179.40 for a new one and as low as $4.97 for a used one. Even though Zelda II was deemed the 'black sheep' of the series by many critics, it is still part of the high acclaimed Zelda franchise and collectible all the same.
Next in line is the
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, which is my personal all-time favorite Zelda title and game in general. It was released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1992 and recieved much praise for its revolutionary overworld maps, storyline, and fantastic gameplay. So why not make this classic one of the items in your collection? Well, now you can for the price of $145.99 for a new one and $15.97 for a used one on Amazon.
There are a couple Special Editions for those who seek to own them more then the classics. The
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which is considered the best game by
GameRankings, is one of the titles in the series that have a special edition gold cartridge that all collectors could own. You can find them on Ebay. Another collectors edition is the even rarer The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition game disk for the GameCube. It was used to help get people to purchase the GameCube. It can be found on Ebay for as little as $50 for the box, manual, and game.
Already own all the Zelda game-ware you could want? I'll bet your looking for other forms of merchandise now that are not in the form of a game or game manual.
Songbird Ocarinas may have one thing that you may be of interest to you. It's a replica of the Ocarina of Time from the
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64 console. It is of good quality and a great buy for the $108 that they will charge you for the ocarina. Another great item for the collector would be none-other-then the Master Sword as seen in many of the games of the series. Well, you can find a nice one for the price of $58.45 on
Amazon. First4Figures have another piece that may interest the collector. They have created beautiful statues of several Zelda characters the most recent being
Wolf Link with Midna on his back.
