In a recent interview with Satoru Iwata, IGN got to ask the tough questions about the Wii U's reception, among other topics. Here is a quote from Iwata,
We will announce the launch schedules for new 3D Zelda and Mario games in the future, but this is not the right opportunity for me to indicate when we will make such announcements.

So it seems, to no real surprise, that there is a 3D Zelda title in development. No new details on what it is about, no mysterious images to coax our minds. The only thing we know right now is what it won't be. How do I mean? No more moving via touch screen, no dungeons that must be re-completed every time you enter. You know Nintendo is keeping a good secret if you know less of what it will be, and more of what it won't. I remember seeing an article on a fake Zelda game that actually sparked my interest. What if the main item of a Zelda game was, in fact, a shield? I'm not sure how 3D or any other innovative ideas could come from this, but expect much of Ocarina of Time 3D to be present in the new 3D Zelda title. OoT 3D is, by far, one of the best idea starters I can think of for a 3D Zelda game.
