Home > Wii U Panorama View Impressions
Where do I begin – Panorama View for Nintendo Wii U is a fascinating innovation that will bring many new game play elements to game's. Just a quick overview about what Wii U's Panorama View actually does – it allows the player to use the Wii U GamePad screen like a camera into the game. The player can then move the GamePad in all directions and the screen will display content as if they are really in the game – so if you turn around, the GamePad screen will show you what is behind you in real time.
Traverse this idea into a game and you get some great game play possibilities. One such possibility being able to quickly turn around to attack enemies that are sneaking up from behind or to quickly dodge something from behind and then quickly resume moving in a forward direction again will allow for great combat and action in future games. Hands-on the Panorama View worked flawlessly, with the only issue cropping up when you looked straight down as the view suddenly becomes blurry around your feet.
Panorama View was an excellent way for one to view their surroundings and will create many new forms of game play. It was implemented nicely and in a way that displayed exactly what it was supposed to achieve. Overall, Wii U's Panorama View will be something to look forward to in the future and will be a feature in-game that will revolutionize how games are to be played.
