In a recent Nintendo Direct - Iwata mentioned that in A Link Between Worlds there will be crevices on walls that Link uses to travel between the "other world" and that there may be a Dark Triforce - called a Shadow Triforce in the stream - that belongs to said "other world." The game itself is set many years after A Link to the Past and Ganon has long been sealed away. View full footage from the Nintendo Direct after the break.
